Catalyx Academy is a private elementary school in development for Broward County, Florida. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

What we collect when you join the Parent Interest List

If you choose to join the Parent Interest List, we ask for:

• Your first name
• Your email address
• Your ZIP code
• The age range of your child or children
• How seriously you would consider Catalyx for your child

After you submit, we also ask two optional questions: whether you would consider tuition in the expected range, and what you most want from your child's elementary school. You may skip both, and skipping them does not affect your place on the list.

We ask for a child's age range only — never a name, date of birth, photograph or any other detail about your child. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children, and this website is not directed at children.

Why we collect it

Catalyx is still being planned. The information families share helps us understand:

• Where in Broward County interested families are located, which informs where the school may open
• The ages of children whose families are interested, which informs which grades open first
• Whether there is enough genuine interest to justify building the school

We also use your email address to send you updates as plans develop, and to invite you to Parent Preview events.

What the website records automatically

Like most websites, this one records some information automatically to understand how it is being used:

• Which pages you visit and how far down each page you scroll
• Whether you played the film, and how much of it you watched
• The type of device and browser you are using
• The website or advertisement that brought you here

This is collected through Google Analytics. It is used to understand patterns across all visitors, not to identify you individually.

Cookies and similar technology

This website uses a small number of cookies set by Google Analytics to recognise repeat visits and measure how the site is performing. If you arrive from an advertisement, we store the campaign details in your browser for the length of your visit so we can tell which advertisement led to a sign-up.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. The website will continue to work normally if you do.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with other schools, advertisers or data brokers.

We use a small number of service providers to run the website and manage responses. These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

• Our website host, which delivers the pages to your browser
• Our customer relationship system, which stores Parent Interest List responses
• Google Analytics, which measures how the website is used
• Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces used on this site. Loading them shares your IP address with Google

We may also disclose information if required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep Parent Interest List responses for as long as Catalyx Academy is in development and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can keep interested families informed. If Catalyx does not proceed, or if you ask us to remove your information, we will delete it.

Your choices

You can contact us at info@catalyxacademy.com at any time to:

• Ask what information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• Ask us to delete your information
• Stop receiving updates from us

Every email we send also includes an unsubscribe link.

How we protect it

The website is served entirely over a secure encrypted connection. Access to Parent Interest List responses is limited to the people who need it, and those accounts are protected by two-step login.

No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information families trust us with.

Children's privacy

This website is intended for parents and other adults, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

Catalyx is still developing, and this policy may change as the school takes shape. Any updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
