Catalyx Labs

Where Learning Becomes Something Students Can Do

Learn it. Apply it. Build it. Present it.

Catalyx Labs are designed to give students opportunities to explore ideas, solve problems, create projects, collaborate and present what they have learned. Each Lab connects back to strong academics and introduces concepts in age-appropriate ways.

Built for elementary students

These are not advanced specialty courses.

Younger students are introduced through simple activities, stories, experiments, models, games and guided projects. As students get older the challenges become more sophisticated. The goal is not to rush children into advanced content — it is to give them more meaningful ways to use reading, writing, math, science, communication and problem-solving.

How labs fit

Labs Support the Academic Core

  • Strong Academics

The foundation of every school day.

  • Five Pillars

    Practical skills introduced gradually.

  • Hands-On Application

    Projects, experiments and design challenges.

  • = Catalyx Labs

    Where the three come together.

A Lab experience might begin with a traditional academic lesson and then give students a place to apply that knowledge through a project, experiment, design challenge, presentation or team activity. A science lesson about forces might lead to a simple engineering challenge where students build, test, improve and explain a structure.

An important note

Planned Labs, Not Opening-Day Promises

Catalyx is still in the planning stage. Some Lab experiences may begin as flexible classroom or shared learning environments before becoming dedicated specialty spaces. Final offerings will depend on enrollment and facility design.

Whatever the room is called, the promise is the same: strong academics first, then more ways to use what they learn.
